Day 44 Exercise and Alkalinity
Exercise is an alkaline-producing activity. However, one must never push past the point of exhaustion as thereafter acid-forming occurs. In other words rational exercise adds to the alkaline in the system. Failing to exercise over long periods of time adds to one's acid condition.
Generalized fatigue, weakness and malaise are the results of an overly acidic body. This comes from years of too many acid foods, lack of water, constipation and failure to absorb nutrients.
The best exercises in order of preference are brisk walking, swimming and bicycling. Other aerobic exercises are good too. tennis, raquetball, weight lifting, track, etc.
Sitting around for ten years doing no exercise whatsoever has left me with one acid body. That thought is going to drive me farther in my exercise regimen. Today I spent 5 hours in 104 degree heat walking around looking at cars with my younger daughter.

My weight hasn't changed in a while. Pritiken says that one must reduce their intake to 600 calories or less a day to maintain a steady decline to your optimum weight. I haven't observed this guideline and need to return to lower caloric intake. In connection with such reduced intake I plan to increase my calorie-burning exercises.
