Day 140 Maximum Pulse Rate

When exercising, your maximum pulse rate should be 220 less your age. As I am 70, my maximum pulse rate exercising should be 150. The treadmills recommend a pulse rate of no more than 135 for 70 year olds; no doubt hedging against a liability. As my daughter suggested, increase the elevation if your want to increase your pulse rate to sweep the arteries.
