Day 195 Fruits and Digestion

Fruits are the third most easily digested food after liquids and soups. They are the closest food to water. Water content can be as high as 90%. Bananas, however, contain no water, just pulp. They are a starchy fruit as fruits go. As most fruits are just water and soft fiber, no heavty protein or starch digesting enzymes or strong acids are required. Exceptions are bananas, coconuts and avocados that are high in fat, protein and or/carbs which take longer to digest. Fruit lasts one hour digesting in the stomach whereas dried fruits take longer because they lack water content.
